The posting will read:
Axle limit of 6 ton for single, 10 ton for tandem and 3 ton for each additional axle.
General rule of thumb is this means from one-third to one-half of a normal load depending on the truck. This is an axle restriction. A truck could meet the over all weight limit but still be over on a given axle.
